Samideano and Esperantist are different, but related, ideas. A "samideano" is a person who subscribes to the ideals expressed by Zamenhof when he created Esperanto. Not all Esperantists accept these ideals, and there are individuals who cannot speak Esperanto but support the aim of the movement.
