Rose Signet
The
Rose Signet is the ring that makes somebody eligible to compete in the Duels for the
Rose Bride. Most Duellists get their ring from
End of the World and are in the
Student Council. However, other duelists such as
Nanami get their ring from their older brother (
Touga) or like
Utena get their ring from a
prince when she was younger.
Differing from the series, in the movie,
Utena gets her ring from a rose that opens up and gives it to her.
The
symbol on the ring is that of a rose, and is also the
Ohtori Academy school seal. It is also the same rose pattern that circles around characters whenever they show a stylized border.
