Tips for reinstalling

  1. Know exactly what every piece of hardware you have is
  2. Get the latest drivers for everything (if they don't work use old drivers - especially on NT)
  3. Make sure you have plenty of coffee
  4. Backup every last piece of data
  5. Memorise (or write down) all your usernames and passwords
  6. Make a copy of your DUN settings
