Latin phrase, "quod vide" ("which see"). Used in reference books to tell people to go look something up, for example, "Ferdinand and Isabella were also responsible for the elimination of the Moors (q.v.)". Most of the time, this idea is conveyed instead through the use of a differing typeface, usu. bold or small caps, or, in the case of Everything, square brackets. I used it here, but I'm not sure why.
