A dancing game written in
Python, an
interpreted programming language. The game was originally written to run in
Linux or
Unix, but thanks to the
beauty of
Python and the
portability of
SDL, it runs on
Windows,
BeOS, and many other
platforms. The
toolkit that binds it to
SDL is
pygame.
Currently the game is
loosely based on
Dance Dance Revolution, of which
theGREENzebra is very
addicted to. Soon pyDDR will be
pyDance, part of a group of
packages called
pymani that also includes
pyGroove. The other
future inclusions will
reflect games like
ParaParaParadise or
BeatMania.
