Pleased to Meet You is a welcome
return to form for the
Mancunian prophets.
It is the third time the band have shared a studio with Brian Eno since the divine Laid(others being the anthemic Whiplash and the sublime Millionaires). In this new opus we can see the band's musical focus careering off the winding mountain road of commercial pop, thundering down the steep embankment of experimental rock and bumping contentedly along the angular quagmire of anthemic protest indie pop fusion, right where they belong.
