Sociological/economic term for the spending power of the gay community. I suppose it would be the pink dollar or pink yen or pink insert currency here. The idea that gay demographic has a great deal of spending power as homosexuals tend to be in well paid, professional jobs and can, and do, use a greater percentage of that wage on luxury items. A lot of major companies are directing the marketing campaigns at wider audiences, including the gay community. I guess what they mean is, we shop well.
