A.k.a. pignoli, which is plural and probably Italian.

They're off-white in color, and are shaped vaguely like candy corn. They're roughly the size of a sunflower seed. Believe it or not, they don't taste like candy corn at all. They're used in pesto and they're dandy if you toast them in the oven until they're a nice brown color and then scatter them on a white pizza, spaghetti with sauce, etc. They don't taste "piney", really; they taste more like nuts. They're a bit expensive, for what they are. You can also shoot them at the cat (or at friends or co-workers) with a rubber band.
