Patients are still easily aroused and can answer questions, and have intact intellectual function. Ataxia (loss of fine muscle coordination) and dysarthria (slurred speech) do not occur.
In other words, after the doctor stops their medication, patients remain in the mental straitjacket, but are still able to talk and tie their shoes. Perfect.
