The Punk culture is diverse and widely contradictive to itself. There are several sects amoung each punk "scene".
One group is NeoPunk. NeoPunk's usually continue the idealism of "Do-It-Yourself" in a creative and technological way. NeoPunk's don't have to have green hair and several oddly placed piercings to make themselves dignifyed punks. Simply opening your mind and understanding that everyone is different can be enough. However going to HotTopic and picking yourself up a Clash shirt does not make a NeoPunk.
NeoPunks should not be associtated with Nazism or Racism.
Such bands that have been classified as NeoPunk are: NoFx, Lagwagon and No Use for a Name just to name a few. Kompressor would not be considered NeoPunk ;)
