In AD&D, the curse/disease caused by contact with undead mummies. Terminal if not magically cured. The victim will also become an undead if the corpse is not burned or blessed.
many other undead can spread mummy rot besides mummies. people that normally have immunity to diseases are still effected by this nasty rash.
