Contraction for autoMOtive GAS. Generally refers to the use of unleaded auto fuel in light aircraft. Can only be used in aircraft with relatively low-performance powerplants, and requires the approval of the FAA. Bloody hard to find on the ramp at most airports, too--break out the jerricans.
