Useful DOS program used to load a Linux kernel. Can be used as the primary loader, for those who don't wish to or can't configure lilo to be the bootloader.

In my experience, it's more common to use this program as a backup means of booting Linux in cases where lilo has stopped working.

Simplified syntax:
loadlin.exe kernel {root=bootdevice}

This was once useful for those who had hard drives which had more than 1024 cylinders. At one time LILO did not support such hard drives. However, the latest version of LILO does, so you guys can ditch the ol' DOS partitions that have been making your system so insecure for all this time.
