A wooden stick from 1m to 2m long, of either bamboo or rattan, and bound with iron.

It is an old weapon used by the Sikh martial art form of Gatka, and is still in use by the Indian police. The police lathi is approximately 125cm long, and the walking stick variety is up to 2m.

If other crowd control measures are simply not up to par, the police perform a lathi-charge, which is an organized violent, non-lethal stike with the lathi.

They are available commercially for about 25$US, and can be ordered online from weapons dealers.
