A tasty snack from Asia, the jelly cup is a little plastic cup (about 15 grams of jelly, according to the package in front of me, though Ive seen some at least twice as big) full of a firm, jello-like substance. They're made in a number of fruit flavors, and some of them have ume or pieces of nata-de-coco in them. My personal favorite is the lychee flavor.

They're lots of fun to eat, too, whether you choose to suck the jelly out, scoop it out with your tongue or pop it out of the cup into your mouth. My vegan roommate was pleased to learn that they are also gelatin-free, unlike jello. Instead they are made with carrageenan or konnyaku.
