Inverted narcissism is a dependent personality disorder in which the co-dependant seeks out, specifically, a narcissist. Once known as covert narcissism, it must be stressed that the individual suffering from this disorder must be drawn specifically and exclusively to narcissists, despite any past traumas this inclination may have incurred.

This individual's role as a co-dependant ensures that he/she will always seek out support and validation from a source that is incapable of providing it.
