Typically used to mean "uncertain" or "likely to change", as in: "It's still iffy whether or not I'll go to the prom with Jeremy Bludbeaker. So, how much did you say you could bench press?"

Could also be used in a more casual logic classroom to impose a quality of iff-ness: "That was an iffy conclusion, wasn't it?"
