Ornette Coleman's theory of music. Being largely self-taught, he had built up a huge amount of unique music
theory to explain the forward motion in his unique
music. Don't ask me to explain it, but the very name should give a hint - a combination of "
harmony" and "
melody" (and "
motion"), with harmolodics being some sort of organized/unified concept of freely creating your own harmonic motion via melody.
Coleman's jazz recordings (and those of scores of musicians who have followed in his wake) were the embodiment of this, but harmolodics was also used, before he coined the term and since, in his chamber and orchestral notated compositions.
