Fairly self explanatory, a protein with varying numbers of sugars attached. Proteins normaly undergo glycosylation (the process where sugars are added to specific amino acids) in the Endoplasmic Reticulum. This is a very common process for proteins in both humans and bacteria. Generally large branching sugar structures are added, then they are trimmed back by a variety of enzymes.
