A pill sold as an herbal remedy, containing two active ingredients: glucosamine sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate. Sometimes, glucosamine chondroitin sulfate is found in the ingredients of some pill, which might be labeled "Herbal Health," or some other name to denote that it contains a host of herbal remedies.

The idea behind glucosamine chondroitin is that the two substances act together to promote the creation and health of cartilage within the joints. Knowing that glucosamine sulfate also stimulates chondrocytes, which leads to the production of collagen, one could speculate that glucosamine chondroitin could also alleviate, or at least stem off the showing of wrinkles. I have heard no testimony of this, however. Testimony of glucosamine chondriton's positive effect on joint pain, on the other hand, is very easy to find.

-Information came from two sources, one of which I'm not able to document. The majority of this information, however, comes from Visible Herbal Solutions, and their wonderful website, www.herbal-solutions.com.
