It's been warm for a few weeks. Today, rudely chilly, and the kids don't want to go outside. Tough, says I. Outside they moan about how impossible it is to find one.

I put my hands on my hips and bellow. "In my day, we leapt at the chance to look for four-leaf clovers! We loved it! It was good old-fashioned family entertainment, and we knew it was all we were getting, and we were grateful!"

I stride to a patch of clover, bend down. I pick a four-leaf clover with my left hand. I pick a four-leaf clover with my right hand.

"Quit whining and get to work, ladies!"

Jaws fall open; they all look at each other; I am a rockstar.
