A movie made in 1978 starring Goldie Hawn, Chevy Chase, Dudley Moore, Brian Denehy, and Burgess Meredeth. The romantic comedy/mystery was written and directed by Colin Higgins.

Bathed in colors of brown and yellow (ahh the days), Gloria Mundy (Hawn) gets mixed up in a plot to kill the Pope when he visits town. "Beware of the dwarf," is whispered to Mundy in a movie theater, and suddenly she's being chased by an albino guy- who honestly scared the hell out of me when I first watched it at a young age.

Chase plays a goofy officer (stretch) who falls for Goldie's flighty but charming character, and Moore does a terrific job in his duty as comic relief, playing a man hard up for a little horizontal mambo.

The denoument occurs at a performance of "The Mikado," and just guess how it ends.

A very amusing movie. Ignore or reminisce with the opening Barry Manilow music and allow yourself to enjoy it. Or not. And watch for the scene where a pet snake laughs, out of nowhere.
