In Belgium, more specified in Leuven, we use the word "fishy" when we don't trust a case.

Eg. the case of "Lernout and Hauspie" : that company grow too fast and had too excellent results, it was a fishy case.

A good synonim for "fishy" could be suspicous. Or you can also say that "there is a smell on that case."
