A
cancerous neoplasm, or abnormal growth, of the
ovary which is thought to arise from
primordial germ line cells while the individual is still an
embryo and the ovary has not yet been sexually differentiated from the
generic gonad. This type of
cancer is also called an
ovarian seminoma
