An sitcom that went for one season in 1990 was only shown (AFAIK) on YTV. The basic premise was a police officer switched brains with his dog partner in an unfortunate accident, which also killed his body (with the dog's brain). He ends up in his sister's care, and lives with her, and her son and daughter. Of course, due to some unspoken rule in televsion sitcoms, once the family knows of the problem (he can talk), they do everything to keep it a secret.
Some exmaple plots include the dog using the mask of a Seance to speak to his wife abd suspecting his nephew of using drugs. They ran out of ideas quickly, because while the show only lasted for one season, reruns played on YTV for years afterwards.
