Used to refer to any small boat. In the case of Powerboats, this usually means less the 13' long. For Sailboats it is longer, more like 18'. Also for Sailboats it tends to refer to a small boat without added ballast which is balanced by the crew hiking or using a trapeze on the side of the boat.
