Also known as "Kirk's dik-dik", the dik-dik (Madoqua kirkii) is a dog-sized (1.5-2.2m) antelope-like mammal that lives in the African savannah. Its cry sounds like 'dik-dik!', hence its name. They eat leaves, shoots and fruits of various plants, but they do not graze. They also have two glands near their eyes that emit a sticky, black goo, which they deposit on twigs. This is how they mark their territory.
Featured in a few Space Moose cartoons, including the quote:
"That cure for priapism couldn't hurt a dik-dik."
