Somewhat quaint British euphemism for the act of soliciting homosexual intercourse in the stalls of public bathrooms.

So-called, presumably, because a lot of public conveniences, (e.g. in public parks), are built to look like little houses.

My learned colleague Wertperch adds that 'cottage' is an old British term for public loo, dating backing to the 19th Century!
