The act of making something or someone cooler. This can signify several things:

  1. Making an object or substance lose heat, for example by air conditioning or cooling fans.
  2. Cooling someone down; that is making her calmer, more serene.
  3. On E2: Giving a writeup a "Cool" status; awarding the writer with +10 XP and 15 minutes of fame by showing a link to the writeup on the front page.
