in all seriousness your mind is closed
you cling to a book you hold tight to it like a lifeboat in troubled waters
if you let go in the storm you'll sink beneath the waves
then you would be where I am
I am the siren on the rocks singing to you to let go
I am the siren when you near the rocks a flash and I am gone
beneath the waves
you don't trust me
and you shouldn't
I would drag you down so deep that you might never surface again
you would be held beneath the waves forever
you stop your ears or have your men tie you to the mast
and even so
you look with longing at my circling form as I swim by calling
and then dive deep
