A move in professional wrestling. The executor places his hand around the victim's neck, lifts him up by the throat off the ground, and then slams him down to the mat. Sometimes the executor will also place their free hand at the small of the victim's back as a stabilizer (to avoid actual injury). Sid Vicious is notorious for not doing that, and has injured several wrestlers with the chokeslam.

This takes quite a bit of leverage to accomplish, and so the wrestlers who use this maneuver (Sid Vicious, the Undertaker, and Kane have all used this as their finishing move) are usually quite tall.
