The single genus of viruses in the family Calciviridae. Includes a variety of feline calcivirus strains, the San Miguel sea lion virus, the vesicular exanthema of swine virus, and (possibly) the Norwalk virus. Calciviruses in domestic cats cause respiratory illness (breathing problems, runny nose, etc.) and are very contagious amongst animals.
