A fun fill-in-the-blank joke for use on long car trips, or boring workdays. Also a nice way to introduce very young children to analogies and metaphors, if you are so dour that you need an educational justification for laughing.

It all started when some mom, somewhere, tried to get her kids to eat corn, or prunes, or raisins by telling them, “C’mon, it’s Nature’s candy.”

In my home, this was promptly met with “Yeah, and caca is Nature’s brownie.”

Just in case you don’t see the beauty, here are some examples.

You can take it from here, I’m sure, but remember the hallmarks of tastelessness and absurdity, please. You don’t make friends with salad, and you will earn only beatings with “Sunshine is Nature’s smile.”
