Bioenergy is a sustainable alternative to standard energy production such as burning coal or natural gas.

Coal and natural gas are limited resources. Bioenergy is creating electricity by burning biological waste, (things that would usually end up sitting around in landfills). Examples of biological waste are manure, grass clippings, and food byproducts like grain husks.
