Large four-legged animals seen in
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. They have long,
shaggy fur and spiral horns grow from the head of the males. Found throughout the
galaxy, these animals are used for many purposes, from food to
beasts of burden.
On
Tatooine, the
Tusken Raiders use Banthas as pack animals, and they use bantha
dung as a cooking fuel. The wild banthas travel in
herds.
