A written order to a bank, savings and loan, credit union or other financial institution, instructing them to pay funds from the draft account of the party named as issuer to the party or parties who presented for payment the bank draft. The most common form of bank draft is a personal check, but a bank draft can be issued by a third party if they have permission of the owner of the account. Other forms of bank drafts include wire transfers, traveler's checks, and money orders.
