Accountability is the ability to associate a specific person or entity] with a task or project. So, if you want to congratulate someone on the final product, you know who to congratulate. But actually it's for assigning blame when everything goes to Hell. Avoid if possible. If it's not possible to avoid, try to shift it to someone else. If you give someone accountability for a project they had nothing to do with, you can have an accountable person without any consequences at all. As long as they don't find you out.

Anonymous accountability is a beautiful thing.
