The first name of
David Bowie's firstborn son, named after a
Batman comic book character (I suppose it
is a suitable
glamrock hippie name) and born in June 1971.
Zowie later changed his name to Joe, probably out of the humiliation of having his
first name rhyme with his
last name in such a ridiculous way.
What on earth
David Bowie was thinking when he named his kid Zowie is beyond me, poor kid. Hm, although... Being called Zowie would be worth the mountain of money I would inherit by being Bowie's kid.
