polyphonic digital synthesizer with a 49-note
keyboard. Released in
1986.
The DX100 is a
cheap and extremely
tiny entry-level synth. Based on the
DX7, it uses 4-operation
Frequency Modulation (
periodic modulation to be exact) as the
sound generation method. There are no user-controllable
filters nor
effects, but an
ADSR envelope generator (with an extra
decay parameter) is available.

preset sounds and 24
user patches can be stored in the unit's
internal memory. A
breath controller input is featured, as well as full
MIDI implementation which supports
velocity and
aftertouch. Different velocity responses can be
assigned to each
operator.
