A band consisting of
Carnie Wilson, her sister Wendy, and Chynna Phillips.Had a number of hits in the early 90s, but split after their second album. Recently reformed.
Gained notoriety not so much for their musical talent (although
Carnie Wilson in particular is a very good singer), but their parentage. Carnie and Wendy are daughters of
Brian Wilson of the
Beach Boys and his first wife, while Chynna is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of
The Mamas And The Papas.
After their split, Carnie and Wendy made a Xmas record, Hey Santa, and an album as
The Wilsons which featured
Brian Wilson on several tracks. They also appear with
Al Jardine of the
Beach Boys in his band. Chynna Phillips made a solo album as well.
