Ok. Here`s where you should go swimming if you live in Bonn, Germany or ever happen to pass..first of all, you have to cross the Rhine, best you take the Kennedybridge so that you are on the other side of Bonn, which is called Beuel. All you then have to to is cycle or walk along the Rhine into the direction of Cologne passing Schwarzrheindorf until –after about 35 minutes - you reach the place where the Rhine and the Sieg meet. And that is where you can go swimming because in the Sieg the current is basically non-existent and there is no river traffic, apart from a few ducks and swans. It´s really beautiful, you feel like being somewhere in France along the Loire in the 19th century.
