Every year, it seems, the WPI (
Worcester Polytechnic Institute) webmasters take the intranet copy of our homepage hostage on
April Fool's Day. They replace WPI with some other inane acronym, and one year, it was
Weather Predictably Inclement.
The homepage had a picture of our President posed like a weather guy, and the page looked almost exactly like weather.com's at the time, only with different logos, and amusing stories. The webmasters wanted 3 unmarked snowshovels as ransom for the homepage that year, I think, since they suspected that it would snow even more than usual for some reason.
All in all a great joke.
