The Wallace and Ladmo Show (1954-1989)
A children's television show on KPHO-TV5 in Phoenix

The three main characters, Wallace (Bill Thompson), Ladmo (Ladimir Kwiatkowski), and Gerald (Pat McMahon) spoke to children and appealed to them with sarcasm, parodies (including a spoof off then newly-released Beatles' album Rubber Soul), and general good humor. Unfortunately, it was only received by local Arizona (and some Nevada) television networks. Wallace and Ladmo is definitely a part of cultural literacy for native Arizonans. Wallace and Ladmo was a sort of Saturday morning Saturday Night Live for children.

The show spanned a thirty year gap: my parents watched it before I watched it and we all coveted Ladmo Bags. It is sorely missed.
