WAP Transfer Protocol. Just like it says in the acronym, a Transfer Protocol based on HTTP except that WTP transmits in compressed bytecode and not text. Used for handling responses/requests to and from WAP-enabled mobile phones.
Not true. WTP stands for Wireless Transmission Protocol, and is responsible for packet delivery and retransmission. It's the wireless equivalent to TCP, not HTTP.
