Vyacheslav "Slava" Kozlov ("Вячеслав Козлов" in the Russian cyrillic alphabet) is a professional ice hockey player who plays left wing for the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers. He was born May 3, 1972 in Voskresensk, Russia (a part of the USSR at the time), in the Moscow Oblast. He played his junior hockey for Khimik Voskresensk. Voskresensk kas prodouced many NHL hockey players, such as Igor Larionov and Sergei Berezin.

He was drafted 45th overall in 1990 by the Detroit Red Wings, and he spent his entire career there, until being traded to the Buffalo Sabres for Dominik Hasek during the offseason between the 2001-02 and 2002-03 NHL seasons.

He is not related to Viktor Kozlov of the Florida Panthers.

His career highs are as follows: 36 goals (1995-96), 49 assists (2002-03), and 73 points (1993-94 & 1995-96). He was a member of the famed "Russian 5" line in the mid-1990s which included Kozlov, Larionov, and Sergei Fedorov as the forwards, with Vladimir Konstantinov and Viacheslav Fetisov on defense.
