Mr Vandemar is one of the
bad guys in
Neil Gaiman's novel
Neverwhere. His
partner in
crime is Mr
Croup. Mr
Croup is definitely the
brains, Mr
Vandemar the muscle. He's incredibly strong and vicious, and almost always
hungry, and he'll eat anything, but most favourably pigeons, caught with his own hands, which he'll bite the heads off. He wears rings that are
raven's skull. He's amusing as well as being
bloodthirsty.
In Terry Pratchett's The Truth, the equivalent character is Mr Tulip.
