Translated from Spanish, it means "Let's go to the Beach".

My spanish teacher had this funky spanish techo song were the only words were "Vamos a la Playa" over and over. It was very catchy, and got lodged in my brain. That same day, I got it stuck in two other people's heads. Now it's a joke, and whenever people see me, they will bring it up, and it's become my unoffical mission to get the rythm welded into everyone's brain.

You know, Total World Domination and all that.
We had to sing this stupid song in spanish, I wonder if it's the same song... From what I remember, it went something like

Coge tu sombrero, y pontelo
vamos a la playa, calienta el sol.
chi-ri-ri-ri-ri, pom pom pom pom
chi-ri-ri-ri-ri, pom pom pom pom

which means something like

Grab your hat, and put it on
let's go to the beach, and get warmed by the sun
la la la la la la la la
la la la la la la la la

Oh yeah, it's also a pretty cool song by the Pixies off the album Surfer Rosa.
