Valerio Evangelisti is an italian novelist mostly famous for his
Nicholas Eymerich books. He was born in
Bologna in
1952 and started his career working in the academic field as an
historian.

the spanish inquisition and feature a vivid historical reconstruction mixed with magic and mistery.
Magus is instead based on
Nostradamus and
Black flag is a nice collection of
sci-fi stories.
He is one of the very few italian authors to be translated and sold in other countries -
France,
Spain,
Germany and
Portugal.
