The Ubudiah Mosque is located in Kuala Kangsar, Perak in Malaysia. The mosque was built in 1917 by order of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Idris Murshidul'adzam Shah I. He demanded the mosque be built because at the time, a major plague had hit the area. He ordered the construction of the mosque to help counter-act the plague with religion. It took four years to complete the constructions, from the September 26, 1913, a Friday. The archictecture of the mosque is Moghul. The mosque has five domes, one major one and then four smaller ones. It also has twenty-four total minarets. The price for the construction of the mosque was $200,000.
