A character in Prince Caspian, one of the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Trufflehunter is a Talking Beast -- a badger, specifically. He is the first Talking Beast that Caspian encounters as he flees from his uncle King Miraz the Usurper and seeks the forgotten, hidden vestiges of Old Narnia.
Like most Talking Beasts, Trufflehunter is idealistic and loyal to the memory of ancient Narnia and its Lord Aslan. He becomes Caspian's advisor in the rebellion against Miraz, and keeps the faith when more cynical allies such as Trumpkin the Dwarf urge pragmatism.
